APPOINTMENTS

Dr Cook operates at two locations (Bondi Junction Day Stay and Prince of Wales Private Hospital) and can be delayed by emergencies and unexpected events, this can cause unavoidable changes to their schedule. If the delay is prolonged the practice will endeavour to alert you to your scheduling options by mobile phone.

YOUR APPOINTMENTS TIMING

Before you make an appointment please consider the following:

  • The best time to visit your gynaecologist is one week after your menstrual period as your may require a pap smear which cannot be obtained if you are menstruating.
  • Avoid douching or using vaginal creams at least three days before your appointment.
  • It is important to be as relaxed as possible during any examination. Try taking deep slow breaths, relax and think of something pleasant.
  • Prepare a list of questions you want to ask your doctor about your sexual and reproductive health. It’s easy to forget what you wanted to discuss once you are at the appointment.

Please plan your appointment appropriately or reschedule if necessary.

You should follow up with Dr Cook at least once annually in order to maintain good overall health.

Confirmations

Mobile phone SMS or text messages are sent from our computer. You do not need to respond the text message also has the location of your appointment at the end of the message.

Patients without mobile phones need to phone the rooms to confirm one working day prior to the appointment. Alternately you can email a confirmation to the practice

BOOKING POLICY

We value your time and your trust in us.

Please arrive a little before your scheduled appointment time as there can be some documentation or other matters to attend to before your appointment.

It is also helpful if you bring all the necessary documents to ensure a smooth process.

LATE ARRIVALS

Late Arrivals Make it Difficult for Everyone.

We do understand that circumstances may arise unexpectedly, however, late arrivals tend to compromise the punctuality of service we are able to provide to you, as well as our other patients.

We do maintain a relatively tight schedule, and we make every attempt to begin your appointment at the time scheduled.

If you arrive late we reserve the right to reschedule or reduce the length of the  consultation or procedure to ensure that their next scheduled appointment does not have to be put behind.

If you believe you will be late it would be appreciated if you could call ahead and advise the reception as alternative arrangements may be possible.

If this request is not fulfilled, it will be necessary to charge a $50 fee for missed appointments or last-minute cancellations.

Please understand that we consider this a last resort, with the real motivating factor being our concern for the quality of service we are able to provide to you, and to our other valued patients.

NO-SHOW POLICY
