Menorrhagia - Anaemia
SYMPTOMS
A 45 year old woman presented with a long history of very heavy bleeding and anaemia.
DIAGNOSIS
She had known fibroids.
PROCEDURE
She requested Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy.
OUTCOME
She subsequently underwent Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy.
Large fibroid uterus
Colpotomy – Cervix is removed
The uterus has been removed and the cervix remains
Fibroid uterus is morcellated and removed
Pelvis at the end – the vaginal vault is closed with laparoscopic sutures
