Laparoscopy – Ectopic Pregnancy

A 37 year old woman had a baby following an IVF cycle. She had embryos in storage following this cycle. She presented with a slowly rising pregnancy hormone and pelvic pain. This was a natural conception.

There was an empty uterus on pelvic ultrasound.

Laparoscopy confirmed a large left tubal ectopic pregnancy. Left Salpingectomy (removal of left tube) was performed.

She subsequently had a successful pregnancy following a frozen embryo transfer.
