INFERTILITY - ENDOMETRIOSIS

SYMPTOMS

A 29 year old woman presented with primary infertility.

DIAGNOSIS

She denied pain at any time. All investigations were normal.

PROCEDURE

She elected to undergo Laparoscopy. This revealed pigmented endometriosis over the left ureter. The ureter was dissected out and all endometriosis excised. Both Fallopian Tubes were patent to dye. Both ovaries were normal.

OUTCOME

She conceived spontaneously 4 months later.

Pigmented endometriosis on the Left Pelvic Side Wall and over the left ureter

The left ureter is carefully dissected out and nodule of endometriosis excised

The nodule of endometriosis has been excised and the left ureter is seen running along the pelvic side wall
